The good, the bad... the stores

A few weekends ago I shipped something I've been quietly building in the evenings. It's called GoodGoodBadStore and if you're into ecommerce UX (as a store owner, designer or just someone who spends too much time analysing checkout flows) you'll probably like it.

But before I drop the link, let me tell you how this actually came to be. Because it's a bit of a story.

Here's how it came to be... I audit ecommerce stores for a living. And store owners always know their conversion rate is low but never know why. There was no visual, opinionated, ecommerce-specific resource for that. So I built one.

Halfway through building, I flipped the model completely. Instead of curating everything myself, users can now submit their own stores for review. That one pivot meant building an admin panel, an approval workflow, automated screenshots, and email notifications I never planned for. All in a few evenings.

41 stores live at launch. More coming. If you work in ecommerce and have ever wondered why your visitors aren't buying, this might be the rabbit hole you're looking for.

Reply and let me know what you think. I read everything.
